Abstract

The level of modern discussion of the problem of the values of human existence, contradictions between certain value systems, the choice of modern value priorities, and so on leaves much to be desired. Values are put into circulation “like a shot from a pistol” without selection, without discussion of their nature, sources and grounds. They are often approached as self-understood phenomena and a simple enumeration prevails in their presentation, varying somewhat depending on the tastes and theoretical preferences of the authors of value systems. The article makes an attempt at phenomenological reduction, “bracketing” any set of subject-specific values for axiological identifi cation of the intentionality of value consciousness, its energy-loving component, as a value-forming foundation, which is found as a “double overcoming”, as an axiologically signifi cant variant of the social negation of negation.
