Abstract

The paper examines the meaningful content of the notion “care”. Scientific originality of the study involves identifying the methodological meaning of “care” within the framework of the modern scientific paradigm. The author discovers a philosophical basis for the “care” notion conceptualization, describes the nature of interaction, on which care is based, considers ethical content of “care”. The research findings are as follows: the author shows that care is a comprehensive, active, conscious and selective attitude formed in co-existence with the Other and manifested in the following ways: dialogic interaction, recognition of the Other’s freedom and uniqueness; promoting formation of their subjectivity; emphasizing their ontological nature.
