Results First, research related to older adults counseling in Korea has been steadily conducted, but research on older adults counseling has not increased significantly. Second, 86 studies (54%) of the general older adults were the most studied, followed by 32 studies of older adults with diseases and disabilities (20.2%), 23 studies of older adults (14.5%), 16 studies of older adults counselors and practitioners (10%) and 2 general public (1.2%). Third, as for the research method, 123 quantitative studies (71.1%) were the most common, followed by 29 qualitative studies (16.76%), 16 literature studies (9.25%), and 5 mixed studies (2.89%). Fourth, emotional and personality variables were mainly conducted as research variables, followed by cognitive variables, behavior and adaptation variables, relationship variables, and other variables.
