Effective translation of scientific knowledge, an important role in which is played by scientific concepts, is a factor of the successful development of the economy of the state, the region, business organizations as well as civil society and of science as a whole. Therefore, more precise definition of the concept of information and psychological security is an urgent scientific task, including the sphere of ensuring economic security of the regions. The information-psychological security in three systems is considered: human security, information security of the region, information security of the state. Human security is associated not only with the preservation of life, satisfaction of biological needs and realization of rights and freedoms but also with the quality of life, a sense of security, opportunities for development and selfrealization. The specificity of information and psychological security is its interrelation with information processes, information needs and threats, while human security covers in aggregate economic, social, environmental, technological and other aspects of the security problem. The concept scheme for the types of information security of the state and its regions is presented. Three main aspects of information security – information technology; information and legal; psychological and pedagogical ones – have been distinguished. The structure of humanitarian problems of information security in brief is presented. Socio-economic problems of information security are considered: information crime, problem of information inequality (information asymmetry). The author's study of the concepts of symmetric and asymmetric development of the regions allows to define socio-economic asymmetry of a region as a stable in time and in economic and informational space deviation in the conditions and results of its social and infrastructural spheres activity and economic growth rate, the reduction of which ensures equalization of conditions for sustainable development and fuller realization of citizens' rights in the standard and quality of life. The paper presents the types of asymmetry of regional socio-economic development in terms of information asymmetry. The basic directions for improving theoretical and methodological provisions for equalizing asymmetry of socio-economic development of regions are presented. In the structure of the global problem of information inequality, it is advisable to distinguish between three main aspects: personality and social, socio-economic, geopolitical ones. At present, the problem of information asymmetry at the level of the regions in Ukraine remains extremely broad and complex in socio-economic research.

Methodology of Information & Psychological Safety of Human and Society: Epistemological Aspects
  • Jan 1, 2018
  • Natalia Z Aliyeva + 1 more

The process of human interaction and information environment, the formation of personal threats and the society is determined by external social and political conditions and global informatization, and by internal conditions in the form of psychological factors and mechanisms. Such a fusion of external and internal determinants of the development of society leads to the emergence of the phenomenon of information & psychological convergence, which determines not only the information & psychological impact on a person, but its information & psychological security. The study of information & psychological convergence requires methodology and a system forming basis for the development of the concept of information & psychological security of the individual. The study helps to solve the problem, which consists in creating a methodology and tools for designing an integral concept of information & psychological convergence, which causes the convergence of elements within the security system and other regulators of relationships in society, as well as develop recommendations aimed at improving the information and psychological convergence in the implementation of the security of the individual and society.

The present study is devoted to the analysis of the process of formation at the CS TO level of a system of collective actions to ensure information and psychological security.Aim. To substantiate the relevance of the formation of the information and psychological security system at the CSTO level.Tasks. To identify the information and psychological component in the CSTO collective security strategy, to analyze practical steps at the CSTO level in the field of countering destructive information influence, to determine the regulatory, political and organizational prerequisites for the formation of the CSTO collective information and psychological security system.Methods. In the study, the author used general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis. Special methods were also applied: comparative analysis, informational approach, neoinstitutional approach, critical discourse analysis and content analysis.Results. The study showed that the issues of countering destructive information influence are given considerable attention in the CSTO strategic documents and a number of model laws adopted by the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, in addition, the relevance of these issues is emphasized in joint statements following meetings in various formats. The term “information and psychological security” is not used in official documents of the CSTO. Currently, issues related to the field of information and psychological security are conceptually included in the general list of tasks in the field of information security. Special attention is paid to countering malicious ideological and psychological influence on the Internet.Today, the main subjects of practical activity in the field of ensuring the information security of the CSTO, including in the field of countering destructive information influence, are the power structures of the member states implementing special operations in the information space. However, taking into account the degree of penetration of Internet technologies and media messages of citizens of the CSTO member states, the effectiveness of such events is unlikely to be able to qualitatively change the situation. That is why it is necessary to create an integrated system of information and psychological security at the CSTO level.Conclusions. In modern conditions of global competition, which have sharply escalated after the start of Russia’s Special Military Operation on the territory of Ukraine in February 2022, the formation of a unified system of collective actions at the CSTO level, providing, on the one hand, reliable protection from targeted malicious influence in the information environment, and on the other, forming a positive ideological and informational agenda of the community, is of particular relevance the historical path of development, the unity of economic and geopolitical tasks, the solution of which will make it possible to implement national development priorities as effectively as possible and ensure the collective security of the participating countries in the modern world.

  • Elena Vladimirovna Bulavina

The subject of this study is the information and psychological stability of police officers in the face of negative information and psychological influences, primarily related to the dissemination of false information (fake). The relevance of this topic is driven by the high level of regulatory responsibility, cognitive stress, and targeted destructive influence faced by police officers. The key mechanism of this influence is the presentation of false information as absolute truth, which can lead to confusion, emotional pressure, and the adoption of erroneous decisions. The purpose of this work is to provide a theoretical basis for the structure of an individual's information and psychological resilience and to develop a model. The research objective in this context is to identify the personal and cognitive characteristics of employees that enhance or, conversely, reduce their susceptibility to false messages. The methodological basis is based on a systematic, structural-functional, and interdisciplinary approach, as well as a theoretical analysis of domestic psychological concepts of information and psychological security, stability, and impact. Comparative analysis and generalization of scientific data were used. As a result of the study, the content of the phenomenon of information and psychological stability as a multi-level personal formation, which is not reduced to individual skills of critical assessment of information, has been clarified. The key structural components of stability have been identified and substantiated: value-semantic, cognitive, emotional-volitional, and behavioral. A theoretical model of information and psychological stability of police officers has been proposed. The position that the behavioral component should be considered as an objective indicator of the success of perceptual and cognitive processing of messages has been substantiated. The scope of application of the results covers the system of professional training and psychological support for employees and cadets of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The novelty of the work lies in the systematization and integration of disparate theoretical approaches into a unified model, and the findings create a theoretical basis for subsequent empirical research and the development of applied programs to enhance the resilience of police officers.

Introduction. In modern international conditions, characterized by an increasingly escalating struggle for technological and geopolitical leadership against the background of the increasing pace of digitalization processes, the lines between conventional and unconventional methods of international competition are blurring. Methods of informational and psychological influence come to the fore, which are capable of having a significant impact on sociopolitical stability and the foreign policy course of the state. For more than 30 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union, post-Soviet space has been the scene of a geopolitical struggle. That is why the issues of developing a collective policy of the member states in the field of countering destructive attempts of external ideological and psychological pressure are increasingly being the object of close attention in the working and advisory bodies of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which is currently the sole guarantor of security in the post-Soviet space. Materials and methods. In addition to using general scientific methodology to achieve the main results, the authors of the study rely on specific methods and approaches: information approach, non-functional approach, critical discourse analysis, and content analysis. The main research materials are the scientific publications of foreign and domestic authors that have already become classics, as well as the latest scientific developments on the research topic. In addition, the authors rely on an exhaustive database of normative legal acts adopted at the level of the CSTO PA, as well as unpublished materials from meetings of the Expert Advisory Council under the Council of the CSTO PA and the Expert Advisory Council of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots. Analysis. The authors conduct a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of aspects related to ensuring collective information and psychological security within the CSTO regulatory framework. They also analyze the current CSTO PA Program for 2021–2025 in detail to determine the participating countries’ common political approaches to ensuring the information and psychological components of collective security. Results. The authors conclude that currently the collective policy of the CSTO member states in the field of information and psychological security is fragmented and requires a more systematic approach at the organizational level, despite the established regulatory framework that includes an information and psychological component in the system of collective security. The authors conclude about the main priorities in the field of ensuring collective information and psychological security in the Program of Activities of the CSTO PA for 2026–2030. Authors’ contribution. R.S. Vykhodets formed the theoretical and methodological basis for the analysis of collective information and psychological security and also prepared material for the analysis of the CSTO regulatory framework in this aspect; I.O. Tyumentsev conducted a systematic analysis of research materials and formulated theoretical generalizations concerning current and future priorities for ensuring collective information and psychological security at the CSTO level.

The active use of the colour decoration of human life has not yet been accompanied by examining its presence in the personal security concepts of various subject categories. Meanwhile, personal security concepts are mental structures that integrate subjective representations, needs, values and attitudes in the security field and, therefore, determine a person’s daily activity and actions in special situations. The aim of this paper is to study the colour design of university students’ personal safety concepts. The research methods are an associative experiment and a conversation. The work uses the results of 9 series of experiments conducted from 2018 to 2023 on 1313 university students. Based on the study results, using colour in designing students’ personal safety concepts is confirmed. Colour design is more in demand when constructing personal danger concepts than personal safety concepts. In personal safety concepts, green, blue and white are more often used, in personal danger concepts such colours as red, black and grey are more frequently applied. In designing personal security concepts, not only “pure” colours are employed, but also “mixed” ones, as well as shades of colour perception. Colour design is more likely to be traced in personal security concepts of a generalised level (personal concepts of security / danger) than in specialised concepts (personal concepts of information and psychological security, personal concepts of security in life, in a profession, etc.). The presented materials expand the scientific understanding of personal security concepts. They can be used in the practice of environmental management of human life to promote its security, comfort, and safety. A more targeted study of the colour perception features from positions relevant to the interests of building personal security concepts by various subject categories is required.

  • Suzanne Bartle-Haring + 3 more

The purpose of this study was to examine how positive and negative relationship characteristics and their interaction were predictive of global relationship happiness, psychological symptoms, and physical health in a large sample of older couples. The NSHAP Wave 2 partner data n = 955) were used to estimate both actor (within person) and partner (between person) effects using the Actor Partner Interdependence Model with Moderation. Global relationship happiness was predicted by the interaction of positive and negative characteristics, suggesting that more positive characteristics are only predictive of greater happiness in the presence of some negative characteristics. Male partners' depressive symptoms were predicted by the female partners' interaction of positive and negative characteristics, suggesting that negative characteristics were only associated with male partner depressive symptoms when positive characteristics were rated very low by their partner. Positive and negative characteristics were predictive of anxiety and stress but not their interaction, and only the male partner's perception of positive characteristics was predictive of the female partner's physical health. These results are discussed in the context of controversy over the measurement of relationship satisfaction in the field.

The Policy of Ensuring the Information and Psychological Security of the CSTO in the Context of Global Strategic Competition
  • Mar 29, 2025
  • Vestnik RUDN. International Relations
  • Roman S Vykhodets

By now, it has been widely acknowledged that the global processes of digitalization, which began approximately in the second quarter of the twentieth century, have led to a radical rethinking of the theoretical and methodological foundations of contemporary conflicts, as well as of political practice in the field of international security. The modern round of strategic competition, in which the post-Soviet space is one of the main arenas of international confrontation, is characterized by the widespread use of a complex of hybrid methods of influencing the enemy, in which information and psychological influence occupy a central place. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is currently the only mechanism for ensuring collective security in the post-Soviet space, therefore, the intensification of joint efforts of the member states in the field of ensuring collective information and psychological security is today one of the priorities of the organization’s activities. The aim of the present article is twofold: firstly, to identify the place and role of the information and psychological component in the collective security system at the CSTO level; and secondly, to formulate a theoretical and methodological platform for raising the political status of these issues on the agenda of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly (CSTO PA) (in the coming years. In addition to the general scientific methodology (analysis, synthesis, induction, analogy), special methods and approaches (comparative analysis, content analysis, critical discourse analysis, document analysis, informational and non-functional approaches) were employed in the research. In addition to official documents, domestic and foreign scientific literature on the research topic, the author used working materials from meetings of the Expert Advisory Council at the CSTO PA, of which he is a member. The article provides a comprehensive perspective on the formation and isolation of the information and psychological components of collective security within the CSTO and, for the first time, an analysis of information and psychological security from the perspective of the current agenda of the CSTO PA. The role of the information factor in modern conditions of strategic competition is revealed. The theoretical contours of information and psychological security are defined, and the author’s definition of this concept is given. The information and psychological aspects of ensuring collective security at the CSTO level are investigated. The results of the analysis of issues related to the provision of information and psychological security in the current Program of Activities of the CSTO PA are presented. In 2025, the Program of Activities of the CSTO PA on the Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the Member States for 2021-2025 is being completed. The conducted research contributes to the development of draft legislative initiatives for inclusion in the Program of Activities of the CSTO PA for 2026-2030.

Objective: to determine the specifics of information and psychological security of digital relations in healthcare as an institutional parameter for the development of the digital loop in healthcare. Methodology for writing a review. The research method was a theoretical analysis of the scientific literature, which made it possible to detect the integration of the problems of information and psychological security in communication processes into the understanding of institutional changes in the field of healthcare. A literary review and analysis of information conducted in modern electronic bibliographic databases PubMed, Google Scholar, e-Library, Web of Science, and CyberLeninka. A total of 96 sources were studied, of which 38 works published between 1989 and 2024 were included in the review. Conclusion. An important stage in the study of digital relations in healthcare was the understanding of information and psychological security as a necessary condition for their institutionalization. A conceptual idea of the types and functions of information and psychological security determines the possibilities of its projection to the level of agents of digital relations. The key characteristic of information and psychological security is the communicative competence of medical personnel and its formation as a strategic task of a modern higher medical school.

It is shown that traditional models of ensuring information security, based on the security perimeter, do not allow to provide the required level of protection against possible threats. ADNR is a defined set of management principles for the organization of activities that should be used in order to improve the information security of enterprises and increase the level of their security. The main task of ADNR is to minimize information security risks from the impact of external intrusions by intruders on the company's information assets and ensure its normal functioning. With the development of network technologies and the emergence of the possibility of remote work, there was a need to provide employees with secure access from their home computers to information services and corporate databases of enterprises. As a result, the architecture of information systems and security systems became more complicated. With the development of network technologies and the emergence of the possibility of remote work, there was a need to provide employees with secure access from their home computers to information services and corporate databases of enterprises. The result was the complication of information systems and security systems of enterprises. When using the ADNR model, it is assumed that the attacker, who is most often from the outside, can also be inside the enterprise, and there is no difference between them. Based on this, when using the ADNR model, the company must abandon unquestioning trust in its own employees and constantly monitor its assets. At the same time, information security measures must be carried out constantly.
