Abstract

The article considers a number of criminalistic categories: the object of criminalistic science, “criminalistic thinking”, “criminalistic activity”, “mechanism of criminal activity”, “versioning analysis”, “crime detection”. Although these categories are basic, the differences in their interpretation are too great. There is a cognitive situation where significant clarifications of these categories are required.
