Abstract
Since 1990s, Maul-Mandulgi has been carried out for living environment improvement and community regeneration in Korea. Maul-Mandulgi is a new type of community activity of which theme is developing community environment together with citizen's organizations or community experts as well as local people. The purpose of this paper is to analyze active development factor and tasks of Maul-Mandulgi at three business area in Korea. The following results were obtained: The main active development factors are regeneration of public space or street place, and revitalization of business area. There are two types of development process; local people proposal type and public works cooperation type. However, this process remains second question; participation system and activity supporting system.
