Abstract

The purpose of the study was to show how the performance factors of Korean LPGA players affected prize money and the average score of KLPGA players, who attended LPGA tour in the U.S. during the recent 3 years (2017~2019). R and the conditional inference analysis were applied to 180 players within 60thplaceofprizemoneyranking,whoparticipatedinLPGAtourfrom2017to2019. The results of analysis were as follows. Firstly, Korean players showed higher scores in overall technical factors such as Driver Accuracy, Green in Regulation, Sand Save, and Putting Average, than non-Korean players. Non-Korean players’ score was higher in the birdie average, and they participated in more games than Korean players did. Secondly, the average score of Korean LPGA players was affected by a green in regulation and a putting average. Additionally, the green in regulation and the putting average affected to prize money. Between the green in regulation and the putting average, the green in regulation had more impact on the average score, and this concluded that the accuracy of the second shot was considered to be very important.
