Abstract

The article examines somatic phraseological units in the phase of their origin and formation. The research emphasizes the necessity of a comprehensive philological examination as far as etimology is concerned. The reflections of ancient beliefs, rituals and biblical anthropological notions in the somatic phraseological units of archetypal importance are illustrared in the research. The ties between the earliest beliefs and the Bible gave birth to numerous archetypal phraseological units. The elements of culture, history, ethnography and art are also observed in phraseological units. The study of phrases, particularly somatic phraseological units, shows that we are dealing with ancient beliefs, rituals, expressions of animism, biblical religious traditions and anthropological notions. Referring to the phraseological units that reflect beliefs, mythological and cosmological notions, it is possible to study certain beliefs related to certain human bodies.
