Abstract

Purpose - This study is conducted for developing the measurement scale of virtual convent ion performance from the perspective of host organizations (Virtual Convention Performance Indicators). Design, data, and methodology -First, this study derived key elements of VCPI from revie wing prior studies of online convention-related industry, with the perspective of Balanced Score Card. Second, this study used DHP (Delphi technique & AHP) with 11 experts. Finally, this study researched the result of weight analysis from AHP to develop VCPI. Result - The results showed that VCPI were finally composed of 14 indicators with 4 dimensions. The following order of importance among four dimensions is ‘customer perspective, event process perspective, long-term growth perspective, financial perspective’. Conclusions - The results offer some academic and practical implications according to future studies of VCPI and the management of virtual convention with key factors of VCPI. Furthermore, this study contributes to the popularization of virtual convention industry with the development of policies.
