Abstract

Purpose: Currently, South Korea is compared to the past, the elderly couple households, or one-person households accounted for a significant number of the total elderly households. There are growing numbers of elderly people who do not want to live with their children in the future. Therefore, Aging in place is needed for the generation that is currently living in the city, as well as those who want to maintain a constant life in the future city. Method: We analyzed the aging in place policies of elderly people in Japan and Singapore, similar to South Korea forms in Asia. Aging in place We analyze the shortcomings of problems and solutions based on actual domestic and foreign cases that introduced the concept of aging in place. After that, I would like to examine the activation plan of aging in place of the South Korea urban elderly housing. Domestic and foreign cases are increasing for single-person households and for couple households of elderly people in each country. We would like to analyze two representative examples of the advantageous use of single and couple households such as senior share house and senior collective house located in the outskirts of city or city. Result: The shape and concept of aging in place can be changed into the maintenance of the area through the change of the residence through formation of share house in the inner city. In addition, there are cases in South Korea and abroad where people continue to live their lives in the city to their inhabitants. The shape of the inner city or the outer part of the city is costly. However, the use of nearby facilities can bring many benefits.. Therefore, it can be concluded that Aging in Place through urban elderly housing is very consistent.
