Abstract

Objectives The purpose of this analysis of trends in research on preschool gifted children. Methods 36 volumes with articles on the young gifted children was selected from 12 reliable Korean academic journals and mast's/doctoral thesis. Analysis was for a year, content, research methods, research design, and subjects. Results Results showed that (1) the changes by year were that the number of qualitative researches decreased from 5 articles in 2011 to 1 article in 2021. (2) The greatest amount of research content concerned recognition surveys associated with young gifted children. (3) The most used measurement scale was K-ABC, K-WPPIS, TTCT & Checklist of Gifted (4) Most data analyses were by t-test and correlation. Conclusions There is a need for national interest and support for preschool gifted children.
