Abstract

The results of the study of the kinetics of sulfuric acid decomposition of nepheline are presented. Mathematical processing of experimental data has shown that the process is described with a sufficient degree of accuracy by the formal equation of the rate of transformation d(1-)/d = -k(1-)n at n = 1. It is established that the process of acid decomposition of nepheline is most accurately described by the Ginstling-Braunstein topochemical diffusion equation: 1-2/3-(1-)2/3 = k.
