Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the experiences of Japanese children during the Pacific War - also known as Shoukokumin -and its effect on them, by analyzing the novel『A battlefield of children』,by Takai Yuuichi. School children had vivid memories of what they experienced during the Pacific War, making this novel worthy of reading because of its collection of factual material relating to their war memories.
