Abstract

The work is devoted to the development of an electric pulse method for processing rocks and other solid dielectric and semiconducting materials. For the first time, experimental studies of the electric pulse method of cutting rocks in water were carried out using a high-voltage pulse generator with a pulse repetition rate of up to 25 impulses per second and a voltage of up to 160 kV. The results showed the possibility of using high-voltage generators with a low pulse energy and a high repetition rate in the electric pulse technology when using water as a flushing liquid. At the same time, the used mechanical system for moving the electrodes and washing needs to be improved to increase the productivity of electric pulse processing.
