Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of information sources of the power consumption system of a coal mine. All parameters and the state of structural elements of the power supply network can serve as sources of information. The process of transmitting information about these functional changes is an information system of the mine distribution network, which can serve as an information base for monitoring and controlling the process of mine power consumption. Other sources of information are daily schedules of electrical load for power supply centers, energy-intensive installations and the mine as a whole. Obtaining quantitative characteristics of information sources of the coal mine power consumption system is the main task of the conducted research
