Abstract
The use of electoral systems and the legal regulation of such use in the formation of legislative bodies at all levels of the Russian Federation is analyzed. The experience of foreign countries on the formation of parliaments is considered. The conclusion about the uniqueness of the Russian constitutional decision on the choice of electoral systems in the formation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is formulated.
