Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical principles that determine the levels of information disclosure in accounting (financial) statements. The author analyzes the issues of applicability of the relevant approaches of the Anglo-American School of Accounting, which form the basis of International Financial Reporting Standards. Comprehension of the principles of adequacy, fairness and completeness of the presentation of information in modern conditions of management, organization and maintenance of accounting, preparation and presentation of reporting data, the author comes to the conclusion that there is a likelihood of changing the existing principles, taking into account national specifics. In such a situation, the Russian state should become the priority user of reporting data.
