Abstract

The problem of postoperative pain is one of the most actual in modern surgery, especially in obstetrics. The most effective method of postoperative analgesia is multimodal analgesia. The article presents an overview of modern medical literature about methods of perioperative anesthesia, and specially on the subject of multimodal analgesia. Illustration of this information from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine. Preliminary data from our own research relate to the benefits of using multimodal analgesia in postpartum puerperas.
