Abstract

The article considers the features of representation of current neologisms in the sphere of electronic communication in Wiktionary. It is shown how information on the meaning of lexical units and on their various aspects of linguistic properties is given in Wiktionary. It is noted that a lot of dictionary articles on neologisms in the sphere of electronic communication are incomplete and require further development. The conclusion is that, provided the conception is realized, Wiktionary can be used as a normative source of data for creating the thesaurus and studying the neologization of the modern Russian language.
