Abstract
The peculiarities of urbanizing processes in rural regions are offered in the article. Their ulterior properties are defined. Regarding such peculiarities of Russian rural regions’ urbanization, it is recommended to assign a status of towns to a more urbanized rural regions, and a status of urban-type settlements to a less urbanized ones.

The peculiarities of urbanizing processes in rural regions are offered in the article. Урбанизационные процессы происходят не только между городами и сельской местностью в форме оттока населения из деревни в город, но и в пределах сельских территорий в виде переселения из окраинных деревень в районные центры, и все это сопровождается распространением городского образа жизни. Вся эта инфраструктура в основном обслуживает жителей райцентра и еще трех сельских поселений, слившихся с селом Батырево и образующих агломерацию с общей численностью населения в 15 тысяч человек.
