Abstract

The study discusses the organizational conflicts in terms of generational problems. The importance of studying this aspect is highlighted with regard to understanding the human potential as a key asset of a prosperous organization. The concept of conflict in the organization is considered, and its inevitability is justified. Besides, the author presents the evolved views of scientists having led to the identification of the constructive functions of conflict. The main points of contention in the organization are revealed as well. It is proved that the generation gap makes it possible to study the nature of social and psychological conflicts, identify the underlying causes of conflicts in the workplace, in particular due to the disparities in labor values. Modern generations involved in labor activity are analyzed, their basic labor characteristics are examined. Recommendations have been developed based thereon to prevent generational conflicts in order to increase the efficiency of the organization as a whole.
