Abstract
On the basis of the analysis of the working text “Human work and its relation to the energy distribution” the author of article supports the opinion of modern researchers that S. Podolinsky’s ideas published in his work (1880) had been foreseen by V. Vernadsky’s noosphere concept, I.Prigozhin’s synergetic approaches and A. Naess’s deep ecology.

В статье описываются становление и развитие Соловецкой станции на Белом море (Российская империя 1881–1899 гг.), деятельность Петербургского и Харьковского обществ естествоиспытателей. Подолинського, поставши як складова ноосферної концепції В.Вернадського, разом з підходами глибинної екології А.Нейса сьогодні визначають принципи стійкого (збалансованого) розвитку суспільства і природи. Ф.Енгельс назвав «справжнім відкриттям» висновки С.Подолинського щодо ролі людської праці у розподілі сонячної енергії на земній поверхні, але водночас вважав помилковими його економічні коментарі до цього [5].
