Abstract

This study attempted to grasp the formal and empirical conditions of happy travel recognized by the baby boomers generation, who emerged as an important subject in the travel market, and to grasp the meaning of happiness they felt.<BR> The empirical conditions of happy travel were divided into three categories: strengthening relationships with family or friends, pursuing self-achievement through new activities or experiences, and having time for oneself and feeling happiness through self-reflection. A high proportion of respondents mainly described strengthening relationships through travel with their families and spouses, confirming that for baby boomers, families are regarded as valuable partners to share happiness through travel.
