Abstract
The proposed article is devoted to the actual problem of modern education. The subject of this article is information technology in modern education. The importance of information technologies in the process of mental and information warfare between countries at the present time, which is associated with an attempt to manipulate consciousness, change people's worldview, is shown. The idea of replacing the knowledge-based educational paradigm with a developing one is emphasized. The interrelation of the process of informatization of education and the use of information technologies, philosophical aspects of informatization of modern society and education, socio-cultural aspects of informatization of modern society, the organization of the learning process in the Internet environment is revealed. The competencies to be formed in modern trainees are analyzed and disclosed. The phenomenon of innovative pedagogical technology, including information technology, is analyzed. The directions of information education, improvement of the content context of modern education with the help of information technologies are analyzed. Various aspects of the use of information technologies in the educational process are disclosed. The theoretical and practical significance of the use of information technologies in the practice of higher education is shown.
