Abstract

This study aims to look at the aesthetic value implied in the swing under the theme of ‘Aesthetic Value of Golf: Focusing on the Swing’. Because the perception of beauty is owned by everyone, human beings can have aesthetic value through aesthetic experience. At this time, the aesthetic value of the subject is a feeling of pleasure or displeasure according to the size of the aesthetic quantity. This aesthetic value is subjective, but by sharing universal knowledge of the scientific principle of swing recognized by everyone, subjectivity can be universalized. In addition, the aesthetic value of golf is expressed as pleasure or displeasure according to the aesthetic experience of the actor made through the swing. Actors mimesis the perfect swing model and create their own swing by harmonizing the intrinsic swing of the swing with the outward swing of the swing. This paper intends to look at the aesthetic value of the golf swing from the standpoint of ‘Ästhetik von unten’ through experience and analytical scientific attitude, a methodology used in aesthetics by limiting it to the golf swing.
