Abstract

In this study, we first point out the differences in the word order of Chinese and Korean language. In that regard, we suggest a method of a direct comprehension which is a word-for-word interpretation based on the Chinese word order as a way for the Korean students to overcome the difficulties of learning due to the word order differences.BR By applying this method, the learners can recognize and accept the Chinese language in the way of thinking as it is, and they can be trained under the understanding of the sentence structures. This method differs from the traditional liberal translation and the way of unconditional memorization. It also has the advantage that any level of Chinese learners can be taught at any level of instruction.
