Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate what kind of experience do the participants offer in traditional Korean children's play. Through this, this paper clarified that traditional Korean children's play has Function and Significance of human cultivation. Especially, components of play experience is divided into three element; fun and pleasure, rule and order, commitment and freedom. Then, it is considered how does each element work, centering on cases of traditional Korean children's play. As a result, the following was revealed: the fun and pleasure of play serves as a towing vehicle, that introduce a child to the outside world; the world of play created with unique rules and order become an integrated stage helping interalize new norms and values; freedom to reach through immersion, it means the qualitative rise of child's self. In conclusion, this paper emphasized that the world of traditional Korean children's play become the educational stage cultivating a child humanly.
