Abstract

Recently, younger students have been switching to multiplying numbers using a calculator, and some do not even know the multiplication table. Therefore, by showing students non-standard ways of multiplication, you can interest them in mathematics. This scientific article discusses ways to multiply numbers that are not considered in the school course. In particular, the Ferrol method, the method of multiplying numbers about 100, the Russian method of multiplying numbers, the method of Vasily Okoneshnikov, the method of multiplying two–digit numbers by 11, the method of Al-Khorezm, the Pythagorean square, the method of multiplying numbers by 22, 33.99 , the method of fast multiplication of numbers by 19, the Chinese method of multiplying numbers and were considered Specific examples are given. In conclusion, the following conclusion can be drawn: by showing students various methods of multiplication, it is possible to save students' time, while developing their logical thinking; it makes it easier to complete various tasks, and students' interest in the subject increases. It was concluded that by teaching fascinating ways of multiplying numbers and applying them in each lesson, it is possible to improve the quality of education and the level of knowledge of students.
