Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the Russian Wiktionary as a lexicographical project. The paper examines the history of the Russian Wiktionary, its lexicographical conception, the structure of a dictionary entry, and the principles of its compilation within the framework of collaborative lexicography. In the article it is said about the place of the Russian Wiktionary in the modern lexicography among electronic and paper dictionaries. It also presents an assessment of this project by linguists and lexicographers.
