Abstract

<p>This article intends to describe gender<br />dimensions of policy against crime. It<br />also aims to demonstrate possible policy<br />differences due to gender. More specifi cally,<br />with concepts such as female criminality,<br />women’s victimization and gender<br />dimension of penal law. The low numbers of<br />female criminality, the high risk of women’s<br />victimization, the different law provisions<br />due to gender are factors that indicate the<br />planning of policy against crime. Up to<br />now, policy against crime both in terms of<br />preventive and executive measures) did not<br />take into consideration the gender factor<br />with the exception of policy for violence<br />against women. All these themes are shortly<br />discussed in this article.</p>
