Abstract

The author researches the influence of the Kantian philosophy on contemporary philosophy of law, primarily on the Pure theory of law by Kelsen and through Kelsen’s theory on analytical philosophy. The author believes Kelsen tried to apply in law ideas of transcendental idealism, and first of all the idea of creation of object of knowledge by human reason, but that tries were unsuccessful. It is also emphasized that Kelsen should be considered as a forerunner (if not a father but at least a grandfather) of analytical philosophy of law.
