Abstract

The article contains the overview of modern information web technologies (web 2.0) provided by Google's services, enabling users to create and distribute their own content on the Internet, identify opportunities and advantages of using them. Cloud computing as a model of providing convenient network access in the “on demand” mode to a set of shared computing resources, such as networks, servers, data warehouses, applications and / or services that users can quickly apply for their tasks has been defined in the article.The attention has been focused on the following models:- SaaS (Software as a Service);- IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service);- PaaS (Platform as a Service);- DaaS (Desktop as a Service).It is defined the advantages of using Google Apps in the information and educational space, including reliability, individualization of access, filtering of unwanted content, centralized administration, a large amount of disk (cloud) space provided to users, Ukrainian language interface and more, have been identified.The key services of use are the mail service Google Mail (G-mail) (http://www.mail.google.com); the drive Google Drive (http://www.drive.google.com) is a cloud-based repository for storing files with free storage up to 15 GB; the cloud print Google Cloud Print (http://www.google.com/cloudprint/); the documents Google Docs (http://www.docs.google.com); the spreadsheets Google Sheets; the translator Google Translate (http://www.translate.google.com) and many others have been recommended by the authors of the article. Analytical calculations in the article allowed to determine that the integration of the software for information and educational space and modern cloud technologies make it possible to create a personal user account containing documents, letters, events, contacts and other content created or directly related to his educational activities. In addition, thanks to cloud technologies, such as Google Apps, it is possible to reduce the cost of maintaining online education facilities and increase the quality and availability of their learning resources.
