Abstract
The article considers features of the domestic education content and organization of the pedagogical process in primary school in 20-30s of the
 XX century. The main attention is paid to the features of the primary school functioning in Srednevolzhskiy Region. The educational process
 orientation to the forming of schoolchildren pro-active attitude, development of self-dependence and initiativity, trust in bright future of the
 country.
