Abstract

Repressions in Kazakhstan during the Soviet period were carried out in stages, corresponding to the main directions of the socio-economic and national policy of the party and the state. In this article, the author analyzing the repressive policy during the Soviet period and identifies 9 main stages of repression in Kazakhstan, which were of a mass nature and affected not only individuals, but entire categories of the population according to the corresponding intellectual, social, property qualification or ethnicity. The general characteristics of each of the stages are given, the features of the repressive policy in the twentieth century in Kazakhstan are highlighted. The consequences are considered, the problems of rehabilitation are raised, the stages of rehabilitation of victims of political repression in Kazakhstan are highlighted.
