Abstract

The mathematical model has been developed for cutting modes optimization for the operation of lathe machines with the discrete change of spindle rotational speed and feed. The optimality criterion for this model is the minimal cutting power spread on the loading diagram. The use of this criterion allows to increase the operational efficiency of an induction motor by means of more balanced loading during the manufacturing operation. The optimization problem is solved by using the genetic algorithm.
