Abstract
The article gives a brief overview of the evolutionary development, essence, principles, features of cooperation. The content of federal laws and the need to create a unified system of cooperation, which will make it possible to use the potential of the rural economy more efficiently, are disclosed. An analysis of the activities of agricultural consumer and production cooperatives across the country and federal districts was carried out. The main tasks for the introduction of digitalization and effective innovation based on cooperative strategies have been identified. The volumes of consolidated funds for the implementation of activities, the coverage and average amount of funds of cooperatives - recipients in the regions of Russia and the most common types of state support by industry and type under the federal project "Creating a system to support farmers and develop rural cooperation" are given. It was revealed that the federal budget expenditures for the implementation of the federal project to support farmers and the development of rural cooperation show that the planned indicators for the federal and regional budgets are not met in the amount of 20.9 and 0.9 million rubles, respectively. Proposed measures for the implementation of a unified system of cooperation at the federal and regional levels to ensure sustainable development of the rural economy.
