Abstract

Purpose: justification, application of stretching in the process of physical rehabilitation. Materials and methods: We used such a research method as the analysis of literary sources on the research topic. Results: According to literature sources, stretching exercises improve blood circulation in the muscles, which, in turn, helps to "recharge" them by increasing the removal of lactic acid from them. Such exercises also contribute to an increase in oxygen consumption and intensification of metabolism. In the process of physical rehabilitation, stretching exercises are performed after a classical therapeutic massage. The number of repetitions of each exercise is 3-4 times, with a pose delay of at least 5 seconds. Conclusions: Therefore, the use of a complex of physical exercises based on the stretching method helps to avoid the deterioration of blood circulation in the muscles, to create a strong muscle corset, to increase the elasticity of the pectoral muscles and is an effective preventive measure against muscle injuries.
