Abstract

The primary object of this study is to evaluate the sub-models of wall boiling model and inter-phase momentum transfer models to flow boiling with downward heated wall in an inclined channel. Based on eulerian two-fluid method, kurul and podowski’s heat partitioning method is applied to numerical simulation with star-ccm+ v.11.06.010-R8 commercial code. The inlet mass flux is 200 ㎏/㎡·s and heat flux is 100 kw/㎡. Based on the experimental wall superheat result, nucleate site number density, bubble departure diameter, interaction length scale(bubble size), area coefficient, drag force and non-drag force are compared with each other. After then, summarized all models are applied to code and the numerical results show a good agreement with experimental results.
