Abstract

Recently, much attention in "Gamification" has been dramatically increased. Nevertheless, there is a lack of academic interest in gamification. Gamification refers communication techniques that apply game mechanisms to non-gaming fields to induce active participation and behavior of users for the intended purposes of the enterprise<BR> The primary goal of this study is to investigate what is gamification and how gamification will be applied in various industries. Specifically, we present gamification concepts and operational mechanisms. In particular, we analyze case studies on behalf of gamification strategy. Furthermore, we discuss the reality of gamification and some challenges and improvement tasks. Therefore, this approach is intend to enhance overall understanding of gamification which is one of strong emerging and mega trends in the future. We hope that this study to be an important foundation for further research on gamification.
