Abstract
This study tried to examine the mediating effect of grit and achievement motivation on therelationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and career preparation behavior ofcollege students. To this end, an online survey was conducted for university students in Korea. A total of 359 questionnaires were used for the analysis, and the structural equation modelingwas applied as an analysis method. The results are as follows. First, it was found that gritcompletely mediated the relationship between social prescribed perfectionism and careerpreparation behavior. Second, grit and achievement motivation sequentially mediated therelationship between social imposition perfectionism and career preparation behavior. This studyis meaningful in that it can provide basic data for developing a career program that helpscollege students with strong social imposition perfectionism.
