Abstract

Using structural analysis, indicators characterizing the structure and evolution of organizations in the Russian Federation and in agriculture related to their demographics were analyzed. In general, in the Russian Federation, there is higher labour productivity in fast-growing organizations; the predominance of deceased organizations over those born, the predominant reduction in the number of organizations over five years on the market (54%); the lower share of organizations starting their activities in agriculture since 2009, which is associated with a high resource content of agricultural production; the importance of state support for certain types of activities that have a small age of organizations in the market, preventing their withdrawal from the market due to the importance for the economy and food supply of the country.
