Abstract
This article describes prerequisites and reasons for successful innovation in Japan. The main directions that promote innovative development are determined. E.g.: research and development, creation of technology parks and technopolises, provision of proper working conditions,compe tent management. Indicators confirm the results. There is a forecast of development prospects of the innovative technologies in the Land of the Rising Sun.
