Abstract

The article examines the main problems of monopolization in the digital economy, among which one can single out the accumulation of capital in the form of concentration and centralization of capital, when, in the context of the universal penetration of new digital technologies, the capital acquires information factors of production and the leading manufacturers of high-tech industries are reduced. The analysis reveals that the concentration and centralization of capital contributes to the monopolization of the digital economy and reduces the level of competition, thereby undermining the foundations of a market economy. The measures taken in different countries in connection with the growing monopolization of primarily high-tech sectors of the digital economy are given. The review of the approval and consideration of the fifth antimonopoly package of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia is underway. The analysis of the current system of antimonopoly legislation is carried out and the problem of applying the antimonopoly legislation of the past technological order in completely new conditions of the digital economy is revealed.
