Abstract

The article outlines theoretical bases of empiric research on self-consciousness interpreted as recognition of oneself in the world. It introduces and tests the model of self space, which considers 'self' in the context, to which it is traditionally opposed. The methodology of Self space including Self, Body, World, People and Significant sub-spaces is elaborated on the basis of the model.
