Abstract

The thermodynamic analysis of the nucleation of bulk nanobubbles (BNB) in a supersaturated aqueous solution is carried out. In the model of a charged BNB with double electric layer (DEL), the minimum work of nucleation and the radius of the critical the embryo are calculated. Simple analytical expressions are derived, when the BNB will not dissolve in water, i.e. it will be stable. For the first time, the authors successful to explain the mystery of the long life times of the BNB.
