Abstract

In this study, we aim to explore the current status and improvement direction of the future education district project in Sasang-gu, Busan. The Ministry of Education has implemented the Future Education District Project to improve the Hope Education District. As part of the Ministry of Education's Future Education District Growth Support Group, we empathized with the experiences and narratives of the departments and staff responsible for overseeing the Sasang Future Education District Project in Busan, sympathized with the issues, and collaboratively explored potential improvements. The results of the study are as follows; First, there were concerns about the sustainability of joint center operation due to changes in the external environment. Second, attention was drawn to the challenge of fostering growth and ensuring the sustainability of the local-community education. Third, we were in a situation where we had to establish the identity and role of village instructors that fit the vision and purpose of the local-community education. In conclusion, it was agreed that the joint operation center, where the Office of Education and local governments cooperate, must be stabilized, support for community-linked education for school members must be strengthened, and a professional educational institution that strengthens the capacity of the local-community education must be established.
