Abstract

Objective of the Review: To discuss prospective use of hyaluronic acid (HA) in gynaecology. Key Points. We have reviewed publications describing the use of HA in gynaecology. Also, we are presenting our own clinical experience in the use of volumizing products for intimate contour correction. Conclusion. The use of sodium hyaluronate preparations is a good alternative in the management of genitourinary diseases associated with dryness, incontinence and various aesthetic disturbances. However, the indications and counterindications need to be taken into account, since there are evidences of complications from intimate contour correction.
