Abstract

The article analyzes the relationship between the concepts of efficiency and quality of competence formation among students in a modern university. These concepts are revealed based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature. It is shown that the modernization of higher education has determined the need to develop innovations and their introduction into the educational process of universities. The article identifies the problem of the dependence of the effectiveness and quality of the formation of students' competencies and the use of innovative pedagogical technologies. Further directions of scientific research include the development of criteria for determining the quality and effectiveness of the formation of students' competencies.
