Abstract
Objective of the study is to identify the relationship of individual being with the external (natural, spiritual, social), to consider the transformations of individual being depending on the historical period. Methodological basis of the research. The article uses analytical, comparative and historical-genetic research methods. Research results. The article analyzes the transformation of the understanding of subjective reality (social subject) in history on the basis of socio-philosophical research. Based on extensive historical and philosophical material, the author shows the unfolding of philosophical thought from a static understanding of the subject to the understanding of an individual as a social subject that determines social existence Prospects of the study. We see further investigation of the problem of identifying a social subject in socio-historical existence in a more detailed and expanded consideration of modern philosophical concepts.
