Abstract
The article deals with the problem of forming value orientations of future generations, and the results of modern research are given. The authors present the data of the survey of 1st year students of the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy of Altai State Pedagogical University, aimed at identifying the features of perception of the Great Patriotic War by modern youth. The content of the article includes the results of the research of features of value orientations of high school students. The presented material allows us to make a conclusion about the degree of formation of the hierarchical structure of value orientations of senior pupils and identify the differences in value orientations of students of 9 and 11 classes.
